so the chairs on our front porch got a makeover today.

the old color: brown with dirt and grime all over.

3 cans of spray paint and 2 cans of sealer later.

a hero's welcome.

there is a wonderful preschool in town.

one whose members were very good to john when he was in afghanistan.

they all went above and beyond to support him and his men.

they sent hundreds of care packages.

that included everything from pillows to candy to plates to prayers.

to them, john was a hero.

a hero they had never met.

john went to the school to show his appreciation to the kids and parents.

he was overwhelmed when he got there.

a hundred kids.

tons of parents.

a cake.

a huge banner.

gifts.

a true appreciation of the military and what they do for us.
